These terms describe what Arz offers, what we expect from you when you use it, and the legal boundaries on both sides. By using Arz you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, please do not use the service.
What Arz is
Arz is a MENA-focused English-language news synthesis. It reads articles from a curated set of regional and international outlets and produces shorter, plain-English summaries with named sources. It publishes a daily briefing four times a day and a longer weekly piece called The Long View on Saturday mornings.
The consumer briefing and The Long View are free to read. They will remain free. No account is required.
Future paid features
We may, in the future, introduce optional paid features such as daily editorials, daily round-ups, or personalized analysis. If we do, those features will be offered under separate terms and pricing. The core consumer briefing (the daily briefing and The Long View) will remain free.
How you may use Arz
You may read the briefings, share links to individual stories with friends, save your topic preferences in your browser, and subscribe to receive the email digest.
You may not scrape, crawl, or automate access to the Arz site or API in a way that imposes an unreasonable load on our infrastructure. You may not reproduce, republish, or redistribute Arz content commercially without our permission. You may not use Arz in any way that breaks the law where you are.
Commercial use and licensing
If you operate a media outlet, newsroom, or other commercial publication and you want to embed Arz briefings, republish synthesized content, or access our synthesis API for editorial workflows, we offer licensing arrangements. Write to hello@arzdaily.com and we will discuss terms.
Content and intellectual property
The original news articles Arz reads remain the property of the publishers who produced them. Arz attributes every briefing to the outlets whose articles informed it, and every story page links back to the source articles.
The synthesized briefings, The Long View pieces, the source attribution labels, the editorial structure, the design, and the software that produces all of this are the intellectual property of Arz and its operator. You may share links and quote briefly with attribution; you may not reproduce wholesale without permission.
Accuracy
Arz synthesizes news from public sources. We do our editorial work carefully and run multiple safeguards — multi-outlet confirmation, source labeling, divergence detection, and refutation checks. We aim to be reliably accurate.
We do not, however, guarantee perfect accuracy. News is inherently provisional. Stories change as facts emerge. Sources sometimes get things wrong, and synthesis built on them inherits those errors. If you spot a mistake or a story we missed, write to hello@arzdaily.com and we will look into it.
Arz is not investment advice, legal advice, medical advice, or any other professional advice. Do not act on a single news briefing without independent verification.
Disclaimer of warranties
Arz is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or available at any particular time. We disclaim all implied warranties to the extent permitted by law, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Arz and its operator shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or relating to your use of the service. Our total liability for any claim arising out of these terms or the service shall not exceed one hundred United States dollars (USD 100).
Termination
You may stop using Arz at any time. You may unsubscribe from emails using the link at the bottom of every digest.
We may suspend or terminate access to the service at our discretion, with or without notice, particularly if usage patterns suggest abuse, scraping, or other violations of these terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Dubai, UAE. If you are accessing Arz from another jurisdiction, your local consumer-protection laws may grant you additional rights that these terms cannot override.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The date at the top of this page tells you when it was last revised. Material changes are announced to subscribers by email before they take effect. Continued use of Arz after a change means you accept the updated terms.
